Friends’ blog updates:
- The website is back.26 July 2010, 10:04 am
Indeed. We’ll just say the website took some holidays while I was on holidays as well. I tried to change few stuff and I made some mistakes and you know you should never work on your online version, especially if you’re leaving the day after. So here is why I took the drastic decision of having 404s instead of a “fucked up” version. Choices, you know. I’m now thinking about a new layout, this one is definitely looking dull to me… or maybe it’s me agai... - Jammin' your brain around 33°C10 July 2010, 8:33 am
Finally! Me and knos met yesterday night in my appartment for some jam session good clean fun. The temperature was just HAWT… well, not like “damn it’s getting hot in here”, more like “please, could you bring +10 fans around my computer so it doesn’t explode? kthxbyez”. Pretty intense set indeed, not even mentionning the length of both records… 70mins + 40 mins… we are definitely on fire. By the way, if you use a bcr2000 AND live AND you se... - Here is a heart so you can bandcamp it!9 July 2010, 8:23 am
The title pretty says everything about it isn’t it? “Here is a heart so you can remember how much I hate you” is finally on bandcamp. I actually don’t know why it didn’t happen months before.. oh wait, yeah, I know why! I forgot about uploading it. So if you ever needed better quality mp3s or FLACs, here you’re served! Go and grab now “Here is a heart so you can remember how much I hate you” on bandcamp... - The truth behind becoming crazy - part 1.24 June 2010, 7:34 am
I never knew it would become an urge to talk about it. For a moment I really believed it would only be one of these moments where I see everything in slow motion, where I’m tired or not focused enough but facts are here, it’s been around 3 months I’m into this mood and it’s going worst. So I just though I could simple throw questions. No answers. Answers are bad, answers can’t be one truth and if they were some kind of truth, oh lord, how much did we fail. Of cou... - Me and social networks...11 June 2010, 6:19 am
Hi there, I was just about to add a piece of news about the fact I joined Flattr, a kind of “post your thing so people can say they like it” website with a tiny and interesting detail: money is involved. So I see you all, boo-ing at me and yelling I’m a sell-out (xD). Flattr is about giving a bit of your monthly cake to everyone you decided to Flattr (see, interesting website name indeed). The whole concept is explained on their homepage so I suggest you pay a visit to the F... - Jam! or maple syrup...27 May 2010, 4:12 am
It’s been a moment I was thinking about posting some of the jam session I did with mate knos. I wasn’t that much fond of jam session until Asako (Windy Hill Mill) asked us to try out playing with her… the first sessions went well but as she had to go back to the USA for a moment (she is actually touring), me and knos decided to keep jamming for the sake of the fun. I hear you saying “oh the fun, sweet fun” And here we are, after 5 jams with only 4 recorded… ... - Interview on Tokafi18 May 2010, 11:24 am
It’s not necessarily an old piece of news neither of a stunning fresh one I must admit but I know some people aren’t checking my facebook page or even my twitter but randomly pay a visit on my website. And well, what would be the use of such a website if I wasn’t posting everything related to my ego-tripping persona. I wonder… So yeah, Tobias Fischer from Tokafi decided to interview myself following the release of “Here is a heart so you can remember how much I h... - My new website has been finally launched!15 May 2010, 9:04 pm
After so many years with the same website that was: 1/ old fashioned 2/ too long to update 3/ far from being search-engine optimized 4/ old (yes) I’m finally back with a new website that is decent to represent me, my music and the fact I’m also working as as web integrator (or, web front-developper). Let’s be honest, a xhtml / css oriented website is really faster to update… not even mentionning the fact it’s been created with symphony-cms that make me able to ... - History of netlabels / Part 3.15 May 2010, 7:29 am
Netlabels If I remember correctly, I think I first read the term “netlabel” in 2001 or so but it’s during the year 2002 I came across it more and more. Most of the time, it was about tracking groups just renaming themselves to netlabels… some even decided to switch to releasing mp3s even when the tunes were composed in soundtrackers… you can’t blame them, the urge to release music made with better samples, a music that is actually mastered…for your pleasure only! ... - History of netlabels / Part 2.15 May 2010, 7:27 am
The tracker scene. Years passing by, the 90s slowly killed these old platforms, introduced the PC era and so, new soundtrackers were coded. Between all the new soundtrackers available, FastTracker II and ImpulseTracker2 were the two most widely used and it was quite common to read and hear discussions about which one was the best (actually, we all know it was ImpulseTracker…) New musicians were emerging, inspired by every new genres which were being explored during this period. And another great month for Renoise has passed and and again Suva played a bunch of new and old tracks. This time I started off with a metal track by Next life, and continued with some nice ambient and chillout music, some drum and bass and dance music coming in later of the show. Also [...]... - Remixta Netlabel Is Looking For Artists17 February 2010, 2:25 am
Thanks to relatively high interest in Remixta show, we have been planning on making a Remixta based netlabel in the near future. The netlabel will start releasing albums by great artists from Renoise scene. As for now, we are looking a first artist and first album/EP to release. If you have some great stuff, please [...]... - Ep. 7: February8 February 2010, 11:26 pm
Second time live, with a terrible hangover from last night which took it’s toll. I forgot to press record button when I went live so 2 minutes of the show beginning were lost forever. Also I accidentally played an old version of Metylonia track. The new one is actually much cooler. Also messed up many [...]... - First time live: Episode 68 January 2010, 11:36 pm

And again, DJ Suva from Estonia releases other episode full of awesome music from awesome renoise artists. This time we have four great albums to showcase and other great music, both old and new. Like every time, every song in this show requires a hilight, but other than album tracks I would like to hilight [...]... - Remixta podcast: Episode Four27 January 2009, 11:53 pm
This time we are looking back into year 2008 and listen to some of the greatest tracks produced in this year. We are concentrating on more heavier electronic dance music, but won’t forget other styles either. There was lots of goodness released in 2008 and although I was trying to be objective, I still couldn’t [...]... - Remixta podcast: Episode Three2 December 2008, 1:27 pm
This time we have collected lots of great and high quality music. The episode seems to slant towards more atmospheric, and even a bit to darker atmospheres, but we also have some happier stuff that makes you want to dance around the room (or at least nudge your head a little bit). For showcasing, we [...]... - Remixta: Episode Two3 November 2008, 11:17 pm
On popular demand we are doing Ambient / Chillout podcast, so expect lot slower tempos and lot more of chillness. Most tracks are released in the past month, but not all of them. Specially surprising stuff is by Xerxes who is in the show with two remixes. Don’t listen to this stuff when riding in [...]... - Remixta podcast: Episode One6 October 2008, 11:07 pm
This is the first Remixta podcast, bringing you the latest tracks I have collected from Renoise community. The tracks are selected by my taste alone not based on their technical quality or the popularity on boards or anywhere else. This time the podcast is mostly concentrated on groovy and melodic dance music influenced by music [...]...

So here I am, feeling mildly sick, reading Slashdot, being late for work. Just as I was about to get my procrastination under control, I came upon a fun comment thread which formed around a request for help from what appears to be a teacher putting together a sci-fi literature class. Cue 15 more minutes procrastination.... - Beekeeping Programmers14 September 2009, 11:03 am

In my world we want to build systems that are started once and thereafter never stop. They evolve with time. Stopping a system to upgrade the code is an admission of failure. -- Joe Armstrong (father of Erlang)... - Maven win!13 March 2009, 7:53 pm
For the past couple days we've been mavenizing our project. As such, the days were alternating periods of "oh, that's cool"ness followed by periods of intense frustration. At its core, maven is pretty cool. Want to build?> mvn compilepackage?> mvn package ant can do this too, but not quite as magically. For the uninitiated, Maven something of a cross of ant and apt, "ant" being the java build tool and "apt" being the debian package manager and repository. Like ant it builds, compiles, pa... - ley lines knotting13 February 2009, 6:57 pm
tonight the cosmic energies are strong, as it is the intersection of Friday the 13th, Valentine's eve, and the night that unix time rolls over 1234567890.truly, never again will unix time contain all the digits of the decimal system in strictly ascending order, assuming that 0 > 9, which I argue it is.rally forth, unix acolytes, have sex with each other. we must not dilute our ranks with unfaithful blood.noobs are ok.the verdict is not in on OSX users, although I'm of the "it's easier to get ... - 13 February 2009, 10:38 am

just had a heart-warming moment with git.I made some changes to a source file last night. Fixed a couple typos, a minor bug, and generally tidied up. This morning before I came in, Alex - the other developer on our team - changed the name of the public class the source file contains, renaming the file in the process. I come in this morning, fetch his changes, and.. merge without conflict. My changes are magically integrated into the renamed class. This is something I understand SVN vomits o... - 3 February 2009, 4:17 pm
